3R Testing offers a TaqMan RT-PCR assay for the detection of Fusarium spp. in plant tissue. The assay is a multiplexed RT-PCR whereby more than one target is detected in the same reaction. Multiplexing allows us to detect the Fusarium spp. genome while simultaneously detecting an internal plant RNA target to confirm the integrity of the sample and PCR reaction. Each of the targets are detected using primers/probes (genetic sequences matching the target) that 3R designed in-house using the most up-to-date scientific research on Fusarium spp. and internal plant control genes. The in-house design of all assay components affords us the ability to rapidly optimize the assay to any other species of Fusarium spp. that may be of value.
